Uszka enjoying the snow <3

This week, I am writing to you from my bedroom while keeping an eye on my cat who just had oral surgery. She kept me company while I was recovering, so it’s only fitting I do the same for her (and she’s a little unsteady from the pain meds). It's also been blisteringly cold in Minnesota this week, but at least we got enough snow that it looks pretty again. However, my basement office is too cold for me to enjoy being down there. I did manage to brave the chill to get a few things done this week!

Here's what I worked on:

  • Re-did Fearne's skirt

  • Fearne's horns

  • Finished preparing the next newsletter exclusive blog

Fearne's Skirt

I did not have too much trouble taking the skirt apart last week, even if I wasn't happy about it. And once I moved some of the panels around I was able to get it pleated again quickly. I haven't re-attached the waistband yet, because I'm letting the bias hang some more. I want to be able to cut all of that off before I finish up the skirt again!

Adding in each individual horn groove is tedious but so satisfying!

Fearne's Horns

Since I'm holding off on sewing for a bit, and because it's so cold out, I thought it might be fun to break out the horns I started and see what needed to be done to finish them. I made the horns out of worbla, so I was hoping working with my heat gun would warm up my office. I was wrong! It's that dang cold out! I did manage to finish up the details on one horn and am hoping to finish up the other one this coming week.

Blog post

I finished up all the writing for Imogen's blog AND got it and all the pictures on to my website! I have a bit of a marketing plan scheduled, so it's not available yet, but it will be sent to you all first in next week's AWIP email!
